I needed to exchange my tickets at first, but ended up asking for a refund instead. The cafilm.org support team got back to me quickly and handled it without any hassle. The money was back in my account a few days later. Simple and smooth, I’m happy with it.

I settled in to watch and figured turning on closed captions would be quick, but I ended up spending more time digging through menus than actually paying attention to the show. They weren’t where I expected them to be, and the whole thing felt a lot less accessible than it should’ve. Once I finally found them, it was fine, but getting there was frustrating

The movie itself was totally fine, but I kept getting distracted by how disappointing the concessions were. The popcorn tasted like it had been sitting there a while, and some pieces were kind of chewy instead of crisp. Even the butter didn’t really help, which is usually the whole point. My soda was also flat — barely any fizz when I took the lid off, and it had that watered-down taste by the time I got to my seat. For what they charge, I was expecting a lot better. The staff was polite enough, so no issue there, but the snacks definitely took away from the experience

Parking was really easy, and the bus stop was close by too, so getting there was stress-free. i expected it to be a whole ordeal — nope, smooth as anything.

I’ve had a really good experience with this. There’s always something interesting to watch, and the film selection feels thoughtfully put together. Definitely feels like it’s curated by people who actually know and love movies.

I watched a couple films on cafilm.org and, believe it or not, the sound was actually good most of the time. The voices came through clearly, and the background music didn’t try to blast my soul out of my body, which was nice. There was one moment where the audio got a bit too low, but a quick refresh fixed it because apparently that’s still the magic solution for everything. Not perfect, but overall a solid watching experience. 4 stars from me...

At first, the ticket price seemed reasonable, but once the fees started showing up, I got a little suspicious. They added up way faster than I expected. It wasn’t awful, but by the end I definitely felt like I paid more than it was really worth.

I really liked the idea behind the festival, and the films I saw were definitely worth watching. You can tell there’s a lot of good intention behind the event, which is why I still enjoyed parts of it overall.
That said, things felt a bit scattered this year. A few schedule changes were hard to keep track of, and I wasn’t always sure where to go or who to ask. The lines were also a little confusing, though the staff I spoke with were friendly and seemed to be doing their best.
For the cost and the time involved, I was hoping the whole experience would run a bit more smoothly. I’d be open to going again, but I really hope they tighten up the planning next time
